    Support for sleeping in?

    As more schools across the country explore pushing back school start times as research shows benefits for adolescents’ physical and mental health, about half the parents surveyed in the latest C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health seem to agree. Others have concerns about such a change. In this video, Dr. Matthew Davis, director of the poll and professor of pediatrics, internal medicine, public policy, and health management and policy, discusses the findings.

    Working toward diversity

    Speaking at his Leadership Breakfast: Dialogue on Diversity, President Mark Schlissel spoke about the importance of diversity at U-M and called for the campus to find innovative and ambitious measures to address it. “I am committed to making diversity, equity and an inclusive campus environment a major focus of my presidency,” Schlissel said. This video shows Schlissel’s address as well as remarks by Regent Shauna Ryder Diggs and Robert Sellers, vice provost for equity, inclusion and academic affairs.
