Building ‘Momentum’
Read MoreFor its major annual performance, the Department of Dance will present four new works revealing distinct visions of motion. Choreographed by guest artist Camille A. Brown and faculty members Amy Chavasse, Bill DeYoung and Peter Sparling, they focus on themes ranging from climate change and relationship dynamics, to surrealism and grief. In this video, Jessica Fogel, professor of dance and department chair, discusses the works as students prepare for “Momentum,” which runs today through Sunday.

New catering service
Chinyere Onimo, an employee of M|Catering, prepares for Tuesday’s showcase event that officially launched the new oncampus catering service at the Michigan League Ballroom. Attendees sampled a variety of menu items including smoked duck breast and risotto, gorgonzola and toasted walnut crostini, panini sandwiches, Mediterranean salads, and desserts. Musical cheer
On most Fridays, students from the School of Music, Theatre & Dance visit C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital to perform Disney songs and other musical favorites for children in the Family Center, as shown in this video. The Family Center is dedicated to meeting the special needs of families in a comfortable and relaxing environment through a variety of resources.
