Workplace of `90s planners seek input on possible changes

The planning team for the Workplace of the ’90s Conference is considering revisions of the June conference and is surveying managers and supervisors for their thoughts on the changes.

The conference’s mission is to encourage U-M employees to pursue professional and personal growth through experiences that provide:

Current and visionary information on U-M goals, trends, changes and challenges.

Diverse opportunities to learn and network.

Increased access to U-M and community resources.

Several reasons are prompting possible changes:

Serve more U-M participants.

Respond to requests for more in-depth workshops.

Expand the “Fairs” section to include University services, continuing education and community services opportunities.

Increase support of the University’s staff development philosophy at minimal cost during a time of limited resources.

Those who have the surveys are encouraged to return them by Feb. 9. Those who wish to comment on the proposed changes can reach the planning team via e-mail at [email protected].
