Walk for Depression

Walkers hit the pavement to raise funds to increase awareness of depression and suicide during the Aug. 18 ‘Into the Light’ walk. About 220 walkers and 30 volunteers participated in the event, which was sponsored by the U-M Depression Center and the Ann Arbor Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Another 300 people participated in the Sunset 5K run and walk Aug. 17 to raise money for patients awaiting transplants. U-M’s Health system’s Transplant Center hosted the event. (Photo by John Bennet)
