With public gatherings restricted because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Michigan is planning to honor its winter 2020 Ann Arbor campus graduates with a virtual commemoration.
The Dec. 19 event will include special online messaging and visual components delivered through the university’s website and social media channels, university officials have said. Graduates and their families can follow U-M’s social channels and the commencement website for additional information.
Plans are also underway for a virtual celebration at UM-Dearborn, and UM-Flint is planning a combined celebration for winter 2020 and spring 2021 graduates in April.
