The art of shadows
The Museum of Art opened its doors in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a special presentation of the recently purchased The Means to an End—a Shadow Drama in Five Acts. The five aquatints by African-American printmaker Kara Walker portray provocative scenes of the lives of slaves in America. Curator of Western Art Annette Dixon discussed the exhibition.
