Mike Jones (left) and Dennis Witter work at removing dust from the nooks and crannies at the Angell Hall Computing Site as part of a face lift the area received during the term break. Trying to clean and fix up any other time of the year is nearly impossible, says Building Services Manager Nathan Norman, since the area is open to and used by students 24 hours a day.
In addition to the cleanup, the area’s four classrooms were painted, re-carpeted and furnished with new desks and chairs, and the entry to the facility was re-carpeted. Getting so much done in so little time, Norman says, is a real challenge, requiring coordination and cooperation from all the units involved, including Interior Design, Building Services Customer Response Team, Moving and Trucking, and University electricians and painters.
