Engineering grad’s passion is creating things that help the world
Amber George loves to create. That passion led her to study engineering at U-M, a journey that included campus leadership roles, an internship at NASA and efforts to help students of color feel more included and heard. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree this spring after completing the naval architecture and marine engineering program.
Ross graduate is a ‘numbers guy’ who thrives in crisis
As a senior honors student at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, Maximillian C. Garcia III became a veteran of the annual and intense Leadership Crisis Challenge that throws real-world dilemmas at students, who have 36 hours to develop business and media solutions. Garcia majored in finance with a minor in performance arts management in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
Information graduate connects students through storytelling

LSA student researcher works to build healthy environment, community
Originally from Long Island, New York, Yoav Jacob decided to attend U-M after he was accepted to the LSA Honors Program, which he said gave him a sense of community within the broader Ann Arbor campus. When he wasn’t in the classroom or in a lab, Jacob took on a number of roles that not only enriched his own college experience but also contributed to the vibrancy of U-M’s student life.
