Restored flagpole for Central Campus dedicated

Above, members from U-M’s ROTC programs raise the U.S. and U-M flags as part of a ceremony Monday to dedicate the restored flagpole on the north end of the Diag. The 146-foot flagpole, originally obtained from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, had been removed, restored and reinstalled in a secure foundation.
