The Board of Regents approved the acquisition of a medical office building at 2147 Health Drive SW in Wyoming, Michigan, at its March 20 meeting, clearing the way for an expansion of the UM Health-West Cancer Center.
The 22,215-square-foot building, located on 2.32 acres, was acquired for $4.95 million. It will provide additional space for the UM Health-West Cancer Center, which will offer clinical, medical oncology, infusion and mammography services at the new location. Radiation oncology services will remain at the Cancer Center’s nearby site at 5950 Metro Way SW.
The expansion is part of the Cancer Network of West Michigan, a joint operating agreement between UM Health-West and Trinity Health that combines the expertise of two leading West Michigan health systems with Michigan Medicine.
The building, located within The Village at UM Health-West, was formerly occupied by Michigan Pain Consultants before the practice closed in August 2024.
