Reception honoring Halsted follows lecture
A reception honoring Halsted will be held immediately following a lecture presented by Lawrence Libin. Libin, who is curator of musical instruments at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will speak at 2 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 12) in the School of Music Recital Hall on “Musical Instruments in Western Culture.” The lecture is one in the Virginia Howard Martin Lectures series.
Libin, the Frederick P. Rose Curator of Musical Instruments at the Metropolitan, will share his views on the place of instruments in Western culture.
