In a continued effort to improve parking service for employees, Parking & Transportation Services has opened a customer services office in University Hospital South, the former Mott Hospital.
The office is located in what once was the Security Services (east) Badging Station for Mott, just behind the former Mott Gift Shop. Hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
At this location, individuals can exchange or purchase a parking permit, ask questions regarding parking options and transit services, and pick up patient and visitor coupons.
In 2012-13, the Voices of the Staff team had a vision to improve parking services for hospital employees. The team submitted its idea to Laurita Thomas, associate vice president for Human Resources, who passed it along with her endorsement to UMHS leadership.
“The team had a vision to improve parking services and I’m pleased that they have realized this vision with a branch parking customer service office in UH South,” said Thomas.
