Sexual assault reported at North Quad

A student reported April 22 that she had been assaulted in early January by a friend, whom she identified. The investigation is continuing.

Two fires in South Quad restroom

Twice in two days, residual ash from paper fires was found in a men’s restroom across from the dining area of South Quad residence hall. One incident occurred between 1 and 2 p.m. April 15, while the other between 8 and 9:12 a.m. on April 16.  No damage to the structure was found and there are no suspects.

Cash taken in Betsey Barbour burglary

Cash reportedly was taken from wallets in a Betsey Barbour room twice in early April. In both incidents, the room door reportedly had been left unlocked while the room was unoccupied. There are no suspects.

Caretaker’s residence burglarized at Stinchfield Woods

The caretaker’s residence and a classroom building at Stinchfield Woods in Pinckney were broken into April 25. An exterior door of the residence appeared to have been kicked in, while a window was found broken in the other building. No property appeared to be missing. There are no suspects.

Two burglaries reported at South Quad

Two students reported to police that property had been stolen from their South Quad residence rooms during move-out week. One suspect was arrested, but the other incident remains unsolved.  

A campus visitor was arrested April 28 in connection with a theft of a backpack, credit cards and other property April 26 from a South Quad residence room. The 17-year-old Ann Arbor male was arraigned April 30 on three felony charges – home invasion and two counts of possession of a financial transaction device. His bond was set at $15,000 cash. 

In the other incident, a backpack reportedly had been taken from a room April 24 or 25, but the contents, including a laptop, had been left in the room. There are no suspects.
