Sexual assault reported three years later
A student reported to university police Oct. 29 that she had been inappropriately grabbed in 2010 by another student she knows in the School of Public Health. The investigation still is open.
Secure campus offices, labs, rooms during the holidays
With two major holidays approaching, many students, faculty and staff will be gone from campus facilities for extended time periods. Before leaving, be sure to secure or store valuable equipment and property to reduce theft. Additional actions that should be taken to help prevent thefts or damage include:
• Close and lock all outside windows, fume hoods, offices, and closets to prevent broken pipes and thefts.
• Turn off all unused appliances, including coffee pots, heaters, computers, printers, copiers, and lights to avoid over-heating and reduce electrical usage.
• Make sure all chemicals are properly capped and research operations properly secured while unattended.
