Director David Schwimmer, shown with Lee Doyle, director of U-M’s Film Office, takes a break from working on the feature movie “Trust” to meet with the media at the University’s North Campus Research Complex. Schwimmer and Doyle answered questions Dec. 1 about the film that has been shot at the new complex as well as at other locations in Michigan. “This facility is unbelievable. We were lucky to find it,” Schwimmer said about the NCRC. “It saved us a lot of time and money.” Schwimmer said more than 10 sets were filmed at NCRC. Producer Heidi Jo Markel, co-producer Tom Hodges and screenwriter Andy Bellin also answered questions from the media. The movie, co-written by Schwimmer and Bellin, is a drama that addresses cyber stalking, rape and a father’s rage over his daughter’s trauma. The film stars Clive Owen, Catherine Keener and Viola Davis. University officials continue planning future uses at NCRC, and the first occupants are expected to move in during early 2010.
