Photo Stories: Gifts of music

The University Record, September 11, 2000

Guitarist Gerald Ross soothed patients and visitors at the University Hospital lobby last Thursday with a gift of music. His performance is one of several scheduled by the Gifts of Art program, which sponsors regular performances in the hospital 12:10–1 p.m. most Thursdays. Ross is a master of jazz guitar and has won awards for his mellow music. He also has appeared on Garrison Keilor’s ‘Prairie Home Companion.’

Gifts of Art also sponsors exhibitions of photography, ceramics, painting and carving by local and regional artists. See Exhibitions in the Calendar for specific displays.
