Photo: Rockin’ the Big House

Piles of excavated concrete obscure the tunnel entrance to Michigan Stadium near the site where construction continues on a Department of Athletics events center. Located between the Big House and Crisler Arena, the center will provide a venue to conduct athletic recruiting events, graduations, convocations and new student orientation activities. The site has been a hotbed of construction activity the past two years. During the fall of 2003, the department opened the 10,000-square-foot J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Football Locker Room just south of the tunnel entrance. (Photo by Marcia Ledford, U-M Photo Services)
