As part of the yearlong celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Institute for Social Research (ISR), Provost Teresa Sullivan, third from right, joined ISR Director James Jackson, right, for a ceremony to mark the burial of a vacuum-sealed, stainless steel time capsule containing examples of the institute’s scientific work and day-to-day work life. The capsule will be opened at the ISR’s 100th anniversary in 2049.
