Pay stubs get a new look

The University Payroll Office has announced that a new format for deposits and paychecks, along with an expanded pay stub, will be introduced late this month.

For easier reference, pay stub data will be grouped into boxes, such as gross pay, employee cost or credit (deductions), totals, and other pertinent information as illustrated on the accompanying generic stub.

The new pay documents will be produced via a laser print process that replaces the current impact print process.

The documents also will allow for expanded descriptions of data and new data, such as federal gross wages, which more closely reflects an individual’s accumulated taxable gross wages for the year.
