Active U Autumn registration opens Tuesday
Registration for Active U Autumn, MHealthy’s six-week physical activity challenge, opens Tuesday. This is the third year for the fall program, which saw more than 8,000 faculty, staff, students, employee spouses/other qualified adults (OQA) and retirees log nearly 7 million activity minutes in just six weeks last year.

University of Michigan researchers last week released seven technical reports that together form the most comprehensive Michigan-focused resource on hydraulic fracturing, the controversial natural gas and oil extraction process commonly known as fracking.

Bollywood, Hollywood and Law come together in a mini seminar
The savory smell of samosas mingled with the Hindi spoken by the actors on the big screen and laughter of the audience. If you closed your eyes, you could easily imagine yourself at a movie theater in Mumbai. The class "Hollywood, Bollywood and the Law: The Globalizing Entertainment Industry" is taught by professor Vikramaditya Khanna and met for a mini seminar course six times during the academic year.

Public service announcement debuts new U-M campaign
Current and former students are featured in a new “Victors Valiant” public service announcement (PSA) video that debuted nationally last weekend. A key theme of the PSA is the university’s focus on collaboration to foster innovation. It is conveyed by juxtaposing athletics and law, music and science, and other combinations of disciplines.
