Mark Suino

Mark Suino, assistant professor emeritus of Slavic languages and literatures, died Nov. 3 following a heart attack.

A Korean War veteran, Suino studied Russian at the Army Language School. He moved to Ann Arbor to continue his studies and earned his Ph.D. in 1965. He retired from the faculty in 1985.

Following retirement, he was a translator at Mathematical Reviews.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothea, and two children, Lise and Nick; sisters Angela Thompson and Mary Ann Suino; and longtime companion and friend Tracey Bradish.
