Innovation Partnerships is seeking nominations for the 2025 Distinguished University Innovator of the Year award, the university’s highest honor for faculty who have shown leadership in bringing new ideas to the marketplace.

The award honors faculty who have made important and lasting contributions to society by developing novel ideas and insights through their research and then translating them to practice.

It was established in 2007 by the Office of the Vice President for Research and is supported by endowments from the office and the Stephen and Rosamund Forrest Family Foundation.

Nominees can include tenure/tenure track, research or clinical faculty or a team of up to five faculty members.

Nominations are due April 25, and the winner will be announced this fall at Celebrate Invention, an event hosted by Innovation Partnerships, an office that serves as the nexus of research commercialization at the university.
