Mott gets check from sale of book

C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital will receive $7,200 from sales of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s book It Takes a Village and Other Lessons Children Teach Us. The amount represents 20 percent of book sale proceeds made by Borders Books and Music store on Ja n. 17, when the first lady autographed copies and visited the children’s hospital. More than 2,000 copies of Clinton’s book were sold that day.

Dallas Moore, community relations coordinator for Borders Books, presented the check April 24 in the lobby of the Maternal and Child Health Center.

Moore, at left, is joined by Susan Smith, clinical manager for Mott/Womens/Holden, Department of Social Work, and Bev Nugent, associate hospital administrator.
