MIRT undergrads conduct research in developing countries 
The Center for Human Growth and Development recently has announced the 17 new undergraduate Minority International Research Training Grant (MIRT) recipients. One faculty member and five graduate students also have received MIRT grants to conduct research with the undergraduates in Bolivia, Chile, China and South Africa for 8-12 weeks during the summer. The MIRT program offers oportunities for minority students and faculty to conduct research on child health and development in developing countries. It is funded by the John E. Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health.
