Mail Service announces holiday deadlines

The following information will help units plan for delivery of mail during the upcoming holiday periods, the busiest time of year for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).
Closing dates for the USPS are Nov. 27, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Service is suspended to University units Nov. 28 and during season days in December (Dec. 26-31) unless scheduled in advance by contacting Mail Service by Dec. 17.
Closing dates for Mail Service are Nov. 27-28 and Dec. 25-Jan. 1.
There will be no Mail Service afternoon pickup or delivery on Dec. 11. USPS service is not affected.
Mail to be postmarked before Dec. 25 should be received by Mail Service no later than 1 p.m. Dec. 24.
Bulk mail that needs to be processed by the end of the year should be at Mail Service by Dec. 23.
USPS international mail to be delivered by Dec. 25 should be mailed by the dates shown in the accompanying table.
