Freedman, a GSI in political science, takes the art of juggling teaching, research and personal life literally. CRLT recently focused on the GSI juggling act in a workshop designed to help graduate students balance the demands on their time. Other CRLT workshops are listed below.
Tips on how to balance study, teaching and family responsibilities was the topic for one of a series of workshops and brown-bag lectures sponsored by the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT) for graduate student instructors (GSI) and graduate students.
CRLT has developed a program for GSIs and a separate workshop program for faculty, both designed to enhance teaching skills. Call 764-0505 for location of these programs remaining in the GSI series:
