LPD Career Conference 2016 addresses career goals

Don't Miss

The U-M Learning & Professional Development (LPD) fourth annual Career Conference 2016, Designing Your Life on Your Terms, offers U-M faculty and staff inspiration to take more responsibility for their career aspirations.

Yodit Mesfin-Johnson

The conference from 8:30-noon June 9 features Yodit Mesfin-Johnson, serial entrepreneur and social change activist, as the keynote speaker. Mesfin-Johnson is chief operating officer and vice president of strategy at NEW: Solutions for Nonprofits, and founder of Lips and Hips, a socially conscious company that curates unique women's events, offers leadership coaching and recently launched an organic lip gloss line.

Companion sessions are Once upon a Dream: Turn Your Dreams into Accomplished Goals, with Joanna Sabo; and a panel discussion, Shifting Gears: Career Discussions with Those on the Move.

The conference is free to U-M faculty and staff, thanks to sponsorship from U-M executive officers. More information can be found at https://hr.umich.edu/working-u-m/professional-development/learning-professional-development/courses/lpd-career-conference-2016-designing-your-life-your-terms.
