Library expands study hours, contactless pickup service

Topics:

The U-M Library has expanded its by-reservation study hours in the Shapiro Library to offer more weekend and evening hours.

The new hours are:

  • Sunday — 1-9 p.m.
  • Monday-Thursday — 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Friday — 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturday — closed

The reservation system has been updated so students without advance reservations can book a study space on the spot, if space is available.

The library has also expanded borrowing services to North Campus. U-M students, faculty and staff can now check out materials held in the Music Library and the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library for contactless pickup in their respective locations.

Note that materials must be picked up from the locations where they are held: Central Campus materials from the Shapiro Library, Music Library materials from the third floor of the Moore Building, and Art, Architecture & Engineering Library materials from the second floor of Duderstadt Center.

The library catalog will specify the appropriate pickup location for selected items when users log in with their U-M credentials.
