Kahn works on display at Museum of Art
Michigan architect Albert Kahn’s Grande Rue No.76, Le Mans is one of the sketches that will be on display July 13-Sept. 8 in the Museum of Art’s new exhibit, “Albert Kahn: An American Architect Abroad.” Kahn is best known for his pioneerin g industrial structures, reductive glass and concrete masterpieces. But Kahn also designed more tradional buildings as well, including much of the University’s Central Campus. The exhibition is composed of sketches that Kahn make in Italy, Germany, Belg ium and France. The show has been selected from a collection presented to the Museum in 1972.
