As today’s U-M students settle into residence halls and apartment buildings, they occupy the homes of former students who have gone on to change the world with their words, ideas and actions. West Quad can count among its alumni a governor of Michigan, a Hall of Fame shortstop, and the iconic voice of Darth Vader.

    This is an exciting project! Please take my comment as it is given, in the spirit of love and uplifting of everyone. I think it would be great to use a different picture of Jessye Norman. Your picture of James shows him as a handsome minx. Your picture of Ford shows him as a strong tough man. Black women deserve images showing their beauty as well as their talents. I am sure you can find a picture of this famous singer displaying her beauty and her stature. I googled her and saw so many. Thank you for considering.
