This month in history (96 years ago)

After World War I, the university quickly reverted to normal functioning. Faculty in service began to return, but not all as some remained in government service and some found highly paid positions in industry. For the year 1919-20, new salary ranges were set at $1,300-$2,100 for instructors, $2,200-2,600 for assistant professors, $2,700-$3,000 for associate professors, and $3,200 to $6,250 (Law School) for professors.
