The annual Face Off Blood Challenge against Michigan State University is underway and runs through Feb. 25.

Faculty, staff and students may make an appointment to donate on the American Red Cross website using the sponsor code “goblue.”

All presenting donors will receive a Face Off T-shirt and food coupons, while supplies last, and will be entered to win five free rides (up to $100 value) from Uber. New Uber riders can sign up using the promo code UMFACEOFF for two free rides rides (up to $10 off each).

Due to blood donation eligibility requirements set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the American Red Cross, not everyone will be able to donate. However, all U-M drives aim to provide an inclusive atmosphere.

Donors are asked to eat iron-rich foods and drink plenty of water before donating, to ensure a healthy and safe donation.
