Chefs from regional university dining services put their talents to the test March 1 at the culinary challenge, one of the crowd-pleasing events at the Region IV conference of the National Association of College and University Food Services. Chefs have 20 minutes to prepare a signature entree, which is judged for presentation, taste, originality and ‘mise en place’ (preparation). Tuskegee Airman shares experiences
Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson (center) of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American fighter pilots who served in World War II, visited campus last month. Martha Cook hosts international tea
William Durell, director, and a team from Residence Halls Dining Services treated participants in the recent National Association of College and University Food Services conference to ‘International Tea: A Celebration of Diversity’ at the Martha Cook Residence. Nearly 300 food service personnel from colleges and universities throughout the Midwest attended the four-day conference. Dragon enchants Museum visitors
Members of Ann Arbor’s Asian Martial Arts Studio performed ‘The Lion Dance’ at the Feb. 20 Lantern festival at the Museum of Art. More than 1,200 people attended the free event, held in conjunction with the exhibition ‘Orchid Pavilion Gathering: Chinese Painting from the Museum of Art.’ The exhibition is on display through March 26.
