Beginning on the morning of Sept. 18 and lasting through Sept. 25, the intersection of South University Avenue and Church Street will be closed for an ongoing DTE utility project.
Pedestrian traffic will be maintained through the intersection on alternating sides of South University, and vehicular traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Westbound South University traffic will be detoured to southbound South Forest Avenue, then westbound on Hill Street, northbound on East University Avenue and back to South University.
- Eastbound South University traffic will be detoured southbound on East University, then eastbound on Hill, northbound on South Forest and back to South University.
- Northbound Church traffic will be detoured east on Hill, then north on South Forest, north on Observatory Street, west on Washtenaw Avenue, west on Geddes Avenue and back to Church.
- Southbound Church Street traffic will be detoured eastbound on Geddes, east on Washtenaw, south on Observatory, south on South Forest, west on Hill and back to Church.
