Vice President for Development Thomas C. Kinnear announced last week that the preliminary total figure for the Campaign for Michigan stood at $1,398,730,281 in gifts and bequest intentions as of Sept. 30, the official end of the campaign.
In making the announcement, Kinnear also expressed his thanks to the members of the University community “for their efforts in bringing the campaign to a successful conclusion. I’m particularly grateful for the incredible work done by the developmen t staffs in the schools, colleges and units that participated in the campaign, as well as the deans and the Development Office staff,” he said.
Final figures will be available within the next few weeks and the Record will report on them at that time, including a breakdown by all participating units.
