MBA students join action-based learning initiative

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business will send 450 first-year MBA students to companies and organizations near and far to tackle real-world business challenges. The students will spend the next seven weeks assigned to companies such as Microsoft and Amazon to strategize on everything from new product launches to digital banking to supply chain management. The projects happen through the MAP program, a hallmark of the school’s MBA degree. Student teams are assigned to projects submitted by regional, national, and international companies and organizations.

Center for Public Policy in Diverse Societies seeks proposals

The Center for Public Policy in Diverse Societies external link will give out funding for up to five project proposals that contribute to interdisciplinary and collaborative research on issues related to diversity in public policy or enrich the broader community’s engagement with issues of diversity. All U-M faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and doctoral students are eligible to apply. Proposals are due April 4 and awardees will be notified by April 21.
