Transportation Services introduces its new North Campus Nite Owl service Thursday (Sept. 10).
The North Campus Nite Owl will stop at the College of Engineering (north entrance of the Dow Building), North Campus Commuter Lot, Aerospace Engineering Building, Computing Center, North Campus Commons, Art and Architecture Building, Moore Building, Bursley Hall and Baits Houses.
Central Campus Nite Owl also begins Thursday with buses running both north and south from the Undergraduate Library to many housing facilities.
Nite Owl service on North Campus and Central Campus is provided every 30 minutes 7–9:30 p.m., every 20 minutes 9:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m. and every 30 minutes 12:30 –2 a.m.
Nite Owl buses are lift-equipped and operate only during class and exam periods. There is no Nite Owl service during holiday periods.
Nite Owl schedules are available on the buses and at the Michigan Union, Michigan League, Housing Office and the Undergraduate Library.
Schedules for other Transportation Services routes are available on the buses and at the Campus Information Center, Michigan Union; Housing Office (Student Activities Building); the Michigan League; and Bursley Hall and the Family Housing Office, North Campus.
Commuter Service
The Commuter bus runs from Crisler Arena through Central Campus to the Medical Center at 15-minute intervals 6:45 a.m.–6:15 p.m. with some exceptions. Commuter bus service is available Monday–Friday except during holiday periods.
North Commuter
The North Commuter services the Glazier Way Commuter Lot near the corner of Huron Parkway and Glazier Way and the North Campus Commuter Lot. It also stops at the Medical Center and Central Campus. Buses leave from the Glazier Way Commuter Lot at 15-minute intervals beginning at 6:45 a.m. and continue until the last run from Central Campus at 6:15 p.m. The North Commuter does not operate during holiday periods.
Bursley-Baits
The Bursley-Baits route connects the Bursley and Baits housing facilities on North Campus with the Medical Center and Central Campus. Buses run at 10-minute intervals 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and at 15-minute intervals until 12:15 a.m.
Northwood
The Northwood route connects the Northwood housing facilities on North Campus with the Medical Center and Central Campus and also services the North Campus commuter parking lot on Hubbard Street. Buses run at 10-minute intervals 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and at 20-minute intervals until midnight.
North Campus evening, weekend and holiday service
The North Campus route combines the Bursley-Baits and Northwood routes and provides service at 20-minute intervals 12:40–2 a.m. (3 a.m. Friday). During weekends and holiday recesses, service is provided generally at 20-minute intervals 7 a.m.–2 a.m. (3 a.m. Saturday). Buses are lift-equipped after 7 p.m.
