Voices of the Staff, a volunteer-based program that gives staff members a forum for sharing ideas and defining the campus community issues that matter most, is accepting applications.

Nominations are being accepted through March 31 for departments and units that have reduced ergonomic risk factors by adding new equipment, modifying equipment or redesigning work processes.

U-M is offering a free learning opportunity, “Melting Ice Rising Seas Teach-Out,” beginning March 2. The self-guided experience will walk learners through the reality of climate change.

The Michigan Society of Fellows has selected six new fellows out of more than 700 applications to serve three-year appointments as postdoctoral scholars and assistant professors, beginning this fall.

About 40 U-M volunteers drove 3,800 miles to 26 prisons in Michigan in search of the best works of art created by prisoners for U-M’s Prison Creative Arts Project in an exhibition that opens March 18.
