U-M leaders are urging students returning to the Ann Arbor campus for the fall semester to follow social distancing guidelines, wear face coverings and stay home when sick to preserve as much in-person instruction as possible.

U-M has erected 13 outdoor canopies with tables and chairs spaced out to maintain social distancing around campus to give students additional space where they can study and take a break between classes this fall. 

U-M will launch the ResponsiBLUE website to help keep university community members healthy and reduce the spread of COVID-19. A mobile app is expected to be available soon.

In an email to Ann Arbor faculty and staff, President Mark Schlissel and Provost Susan Collins outlined U-M’s coronavirus testing regimen, its rationale and underlying considerations.
