The U-M community is being asked to nominate individuals who have contributed to their field or society to be considered for honorary degrees.

The experimental installation “GIFT” by Cannupa Hanska Luger is being created across the facade of the building that houses the U-M Museum of Art. It is part of an ongoing initiative to challenge university history and reexamine what gets memorialized.

Rose Campbell Gibson, a research scientist and gerontologist who served on the faculty of the School of Social Work, died Aug. 11 after a brief illness. She was 98.
