The following letter from Travel Services was sent to University employees who hold corporate charge cards.
Recently you may have received a renewal card for the University’s corporate card program with American Express, which was cancelled earlier this year.
The University and American Express have been in negotiations for the past several months in an attempt to reach a new agreement. However, the issuance of renewal cards was premature on the part of American Express.
As you may notice, your renewal card is not valid until Oct. 1. By that time we expect negotiations to have been completed, and you will be notified regarding the status of the program. Until then, please retain your card.
