Lola Eniola-Adefeso

Lola Eniola-Adefeso, associate professor of chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, and macromolecular science and engineering, College of Engineering, has been elected to the College of Fellows at the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. The college comprises more than 1,000 individuals distinguished by their contributions in research, industrial practice or education who work toward the institute’s vision to “provide medical and biological engineering innovation for the benefit of humanity.”

David Brophy, professor of finance, Stephen M. Ross School of Business; and director of the U-M Center for Venture Capital and Private Equity Finance, received the Michigan Venture Capital Association’s 2016 Above and Beyond Award at the association’s annual awards dinner in November. The award recognizes Brophy’s remarkable contributions over 50 years to Michigan’s venture industry and entrepreneurial community through his roles as an educator, investor, adviser, trustee, director and author. The recognition also pays tribute to his leadership in founding the Michigan Growth Capital Symposium.
