Debra Barton

Debra L. Barton, Mary Lou Willard French Professor of Nursing, professor of nursing, School of Nursing, and professor of psychiatry, Medical School, has been selected for a co-chair position with the National Cancer Institute. The Symptom Management and Health-related Quality of Life Steering Committee is dedicated to identifying and promoting the best science in symptom management and quality of life research from NCI cooperative groups. Barton will serve as a co-chair for a three-year term.

Lawrence Berkove, professor emeritus of English language and literature, Department of Humanities, College of Arts, Sciences and Letters, UM-Dearborn, was recently featured in the fall 2014 issue of the Mark Twain Journal. He was designated a Legacy Scholar. The journal included a biographical sketch on Berkove. The honor is based on what he’s accomplished over his career through his scholarship on Mark Twain.

Jorge Delva

Jorge Delva, associate dean of research and professor at the School of Social Work, is president elect (2014-16) of the Association of Latina and Latino Social Work Educators. The association promotes education and research in the field of social work among the Latino population.
