Neel Hajra

Neel Hajra, lecturer in public policy, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, who regularly teaches “Policy and Management in the Nonprofit Sector,” has been named the next president and chief executive officer of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation. He will begin his new post on Jan. 1. Hajra has been with the foundation since 2011, as chief operating officer and vice president for community investment. In this role, he’s overseen all aspects of operations, and helped to develop new initiatives to strengthen the regional social safety net and spur economic growth.

Justin Wolfers

Justin Wolfers, professor of public policy, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, and of economics, LSA, and a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, has been named to the International Monetary Fund’s 25 Brightest Young Economists list, published in the Aug. 27 issue of IMF’s Finance and Development magazine. The article, titled “Generation Next” celebrates 25 path-setting young economists under 45 who are shaping the way we think about the global economy.
