Paul Mohai, professor of natural resources at the School of Natural Resources and Environment, has received the 2014 Damu Smith Power Of One Leadership Award. It was presented at the Second Annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities Student Climate Change Conference April 17-19 at Dillard University in New Orleans. His teaching and research interests have focused on environmental justice, public opinion and the environment, and influences on environmental policy making. Mohai has sought to understand the root causes of environmental concern and why such concern has become a worldwide phenomenon.
