No new developments in assault in structure
University police continue to investigate a Jan. 26 assault in the Church Street parking structure. A staff person told the police the next day that as she was walking to her car around 5 p.m., an unknown man approached her as she entered the stairwell. After the man grabbed her inappropriately, she pushed him away. He then exposed himself to her and she fled to her vehicle.
The man is described as a white male, 40-50 years old, 6 feet tall, medium-to-heavy build with light-colored eyes. He last was seen wearing a short, black puffy jacket with a hood.

Three charged in armed robbery at Law Quad
Three 17-year-old males each have been charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with a Jan. 21 incident in the Law Quad. Two of the men are from Ypsilanti and one is from Ann Arbor. The three waived their preliminary hearing on Feb. 3 and are scheduled for pretrial conference on Feb. 17.
The men are accused of robbing a U-M student as he walked through the Law Quad around 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21. The student told police he was approached by two males, one of whom held something metal to his head while the other demanded his money. Once he gave them his wallet, the two ran to two other young men standing nearby and the four ran across the street near Tappan Hall. The victim promptly called police and gave a description of the suspects as well as their direction of travel. A U-M police officer, who was in the area, responded to the scene, located the four suspects, and secured the weapon and the four males as other officers arrived. The gun turned out to be a pellet pistol. No one was injured in the incident or the subsequent arrests.
Student reports theft from East Quad room
An East Quadrangle resident told police that money and personal property were missing from his room Jan.27 when he returned from an afternoon of studying. The student said he left his room about 3 p.m. and believes his door was locked. When he returned four hours later, he noticed something was missing. Upon searching he determined that a large amount of money had been taken as well. The investigation is continuing.
