Break-in reported at Botanical Gardens
Staff at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens reported to police May 23 that they discovered two unknown subjects in one of the buildings prior to opening for the day. Staff confronted the subjects who left the building. While reporting the incident to police, a window screen was found removed from a window. No property was reported missing or damaged. The case has been closed due to lack of leads.
Sexual assault reported by a nurse
A patient reportedly inappropriately grabbed a University Hospital nurse multiple times May 5. He also made inappropriate comments to the nurse. The nurse did not require medical attention. The prosecutor’s office authorized a two-year misdemeanor arrest warrant on May 22.
Patient reports sexual assault
A University Hospital patient reported that she had been inappropriately touched by an unknown staff member May 8. The investigation still is pending.
