Accolades

Linda C. Samuelson, the John A. Williams Collegiate Professor of Gastrointestinal Physiology, professor of molecular and integrative physiology, and gastroenterology, has been named to receive the Morton I. Grossman award for outstanding research in Gastroenterology in spring 2014.

Ormond A. MacDougald, the John A. Faulkner Collegiate Professor of Physiology, professor of molecular and integrative physiology, and internal medicine, will spend his sabbatical leave at the University of Cambridge as a Fulbright Scholar continuing his study of adipocyte differentiation and metabolism. Fulbright winners are charged with increasing understanding between the people of the United States and other countries.

Dr. Sofia Merajver, professor of internal medicine, Medical School,professor of epidemiology, School of Public Health, and director of the Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk and Evaluation Program, has won the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research Distinguished Translational Mentor Award. It recognizes the efforts and accomplishments of faculty who demonstrate consistent, high quality research and career mentoring in areas of clinical and translational and health research.
