H. Luke Shaefer, assistant professor at the School of Social Work, has received the 2012 Deborah K. Padgett Early Career Achievement Award from the Society for Social Work and Research at the Annual Society for Social Work Research Convention. The award recognizes individuals who in their early careers do innovative work and make a notable influence in their field.
