Accolades

Toni Antonucci, associate vice president for research, social sciences and humanities, the Elizabeth M. Douvan Collegiate Professor of Psychology, and a research professor at the Institute for Social Research, will receive the 2012 Distinguished Career Contribution to Gerontology Award from the Gerontological Society of America. Antonucci is known for her role in developing the convoy model of social relations.

Dr. David Ginsburg will be awarded the 2012 Henry M. Stratton Medal for his accomplishments in the fields of thrombosis and blood cell immunology by The American Society of Hematology. He is the James V. Neel Distinguished University Professor of Internal Medicine, Human Genetics and Pediatrics at the Medical School, a member of the Life Sciences Institute, and an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
